Dr. DeSalvo is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Diabetes & Endocrinology at Baylor College of Medicine / Texas Children’s Hospital where he serves as Director of Strategic Collaboratives and Type 1 Diabetes Clinic Lead. As a pediatric endocrinologist his greatest passion is helping others live well with diabetes and he considers it a remarkable privilege to shepherd families on their diabetes journey. He developed and leads SIT Down T1D (Screening and Intervention To Delay T1D): a clinical program for T1D screening, staging, monitoring, and prevention at Texas Children’s. As a clinical researcher his work focuses on the application of novel technology and therapies for improving diabetes outcomes and reducing the burden of care for people with diabetes.
