We're proud to offer more ways for you to upload, visualize, and donate your diabetes data.

This guide details everything you need to know about uploading and viewing data from Medtronic MiniMed 630G, 640G, and 670G insulin pumps.

Medtronic 630G, 640G, and 670G insulin pumps are just the most recent devices that Tidepool supports, joining our ever growing list that includes Medtronic 523/723, Veo 554/754, 530G pumps...plus numerous other pumps, CGMs and blood glucose meters from Abbott, Animas, Bayer, Dexcom, Insulet and Tandem (see the full list here).

Empowering more people with diabetes to own their data

We’re thrilled to deliver full support for Medtronic 630G, 640G, and 670G insulin pumps to the diabetes community, and we’re excited to welcome Medtronic users who can now get insights for the first time using Tidepool. Our mission is to make diabetes data more accessible, actionable, and meaningful, and support for this next series of Medtronic devices brings us that much closer.

Tidepool has always believed that you own your own data, and that you should have a choice in what tools you and your care team use to upload and visualize it. As a matter of fact, the original idea for Tidepool was born back in 2012 out of my frustration of not being able to upload my daughter's Medtronic pump data to CareLink on my Mac, and not being able to see her pump data and her Dexcom data in one place at one time – if you want a more complete recap, read my interview with Kerri back in 2015.

As a reminder: Tidepool is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are doing all of this because we think it's the right thing to do.

Our mission is to make diabetes data more accessible, actionable, and meaningful by liberating data from diabetes devices, supporting researchers, and providing great, free software to the diabetes community.

We also want to make sure that you know about the Tidepool Big Data Donation Project. This is a great way for you to help the diabetes research and innovation community as well. Participating in the Tidepool Big Data Donation Project is entirely opt-in: we never, ever do anything with your data unless you give us permission to. This is a great way for you to make an impact on diabetes research, and to help your favorite diabetes nonprofits along the way. Plus, your data donation will help Tidepool stay sustainable as a nonprofit organization when your donated datasets get licensed to industry partners and academic institutions.
